Sherri is an LPC-Associate, under the supervision of Jennifer Smith, LPC-S. She is passionate about recovery and giving people hope and the tools necessary to overcome the struggles in their lives. She specializes in addiction recovery, couples / family work, and individuals struggling with anxiety and depression.
As a Gottman Trained therapist she specializes in working with couples and families, using tools she has learned in this specialized training to assist families in healing and deepening their relationships.
Sherri is also the Director of Recovery Ministries at the church that she attends. In this role she oversees a multitude of support groups, including re:Generation, re:Engage, Boundaries, Divorce Care, and Grief Support.
Sherri recently retired from being a school counselor in the metroplex, and before that she served as a teacher, instructional specialist, assistant principal, and a principal. She spent her summers writing academic and mental health curriculum for schools.
After 28 years in education, Sherri decided to pursue further education and licensure as a professional counselor.
Beyond being a counselor and ministry director, Sherri loves being a wife, mother, and now her favorite role of Gigi (grandmother)! As someone who is passionate about living a full and healthy life, it is her desire to work with her clients to help them set goals and work toward living their best life as well!
