Jen holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Dallas Baptist University—one in Psychology and another in Christian Education. After graduation, she spent six years working as a college and career planning coach. This role gave her extensive training in career counseling and equipped her to help families navigate important decisions about life after high school.
In 2012, she earned her Master’s in Professional Counseling from Amberton University and became a Licensed Professional Counselor. Since then, she has worked in a variety of settings, including rehabilitation centers and private practice, supporting clients through eating disorder & addiction recovery, trauma, and life transitions.
In 2017, she returned to graduate school to earn a second Master’s Degree in School Counseling and became a Certified School Counselor in Texas. Jen's experience in public school settings has given her unique insight into the needs, rights, and support systems available to students—particularly those who may be struggling emotionally or academically.
Outside of her professional experience, she also served as a licensed foster parent for six years and had the incredible privilege of adopting her son through that journey. This personal experience has deeply shaped Jen's perspective and uniquely equipped her to support adoptive families, adoptees, and those offering care within the foster system.
Jen is trained in several evidence-based therapeutic models, including EMDR, and believes strongly in tailoring therapy to each individual’s unique needs, goals, and values.
