LPC Supervision

In the State of Texas, all newly licensed clinicians are required to seek professional supervision for the first 3,000 hours worked as a clinician.  Jennifer Smith, LPC-S provides supervision at a rate of $400 per month.  This includes, but is not limited to, a minimum of 4 hours of direct supervision per month - including 2 individual hours (virtual or in-person), and 2 hours of group (virtual).  In the event that an Associate does not wish to participate in group, or cannot make group one month, then it would be 4 hours of individual time.

Group supervision provides clinicians with a time to learn from one another, build relationships with other clinicians, and often includes a book study on a specific mental health topic or treatment modality.  Group meets the 1st or 2nd Saturday of every month from 8:30-10:30.

Beyond the direct 4 hours of supervision that the State requires, Jennifer works hard to make herself available via phone, text and email anytime an associate has a question or needs to talk through an issue.  It is important when seeking supervision to find a person who is accessible!!  Teaching and training are things that Jennifer is almost as passionate about as mental health counseling.  If you are looking to grow as a clinician, not just check a box that the State requires, please reach out today!  --  jennifer@246counseling.com

** Please note:  We are not currently accepting graduate students - supervision is only open to recent graduates who are pursuing licensure as an LPC-Associate. **

Meet Jen, LPC-S
