Tiffany is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over eight years of experience as a first responder. Coming from a family of Veterans and First Responders, she brings a deep understanding of the unique challenges and sacrifices that come with serving in these roles.
Tiffany is passionate about supporting fellow First Responders, Veterans, and their family members, offering a compassionate and flexible approach that respects the demands of shift work and high-stress careers.
As a mother, Tiffany also enjoys working with young children in a play therapy setting and provides counseling for individuals ages four and up. Her warm, down-to-earth style helps clients of all ages feel safe, understood, and empowered to grow.
Tiffany earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University. Her diverse counseling experience includes working with court-mandated clients in Drug Court, DUI Court, and Veterans Court, as well as providing in-patient care for Veterans, facilitating both group and family therapy sessions. Tiffany has also supported parents in building effective parenting and co-parenting skills, counseled adolescents in a local youth shelter, and offered individual counseling in private practice. In addition, she has served as a peer support resource for her fellow First Responders during trauma-related incidents in the workplace.
Tiffany is a National Board-Certified Counselor (NBCC) and is certified in Critical Incident Desensitization & Processing and Acute Traumatic Incident Processing. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Her clinical specialties include, but are not limited to, trauma, addiction, acute stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm, anger management, suicidal ideation, grief and loss, impulsivity, and parenting or co-parenting skills.
Tiffany operates from a Person-Centered approach, valuing each client as capable and resilient. Through empathy, unconditional positive regard, mindfulness, and authenticity, she helps clients develop self-worth, trust in themselves, and confidence to explore life’s challenges.
She also integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and self-compassion strategies. Tiffany strives to create a safe, judgment-free environment where clients can express themselves freely and begin the process of healing and growth. She incorporates practical coping strategies, grounding techniques, cognitive restructuring, and self-regulation skills to help clients thrive in both their personal and professional lives.
